Entry #3 Mint
Has your mouth every watered over a treat that would leave your mouth and breathe smelling and feeling clean? I have, especially those that taste so good you can't stop eating them. So many varieties, flavors and sizes to choose from that could become your favorite. It may be a simple treat but the experience you receive from it is even better.
So many options to choose from but my favorite comes in round packing, both ends of the container have little flaps that could be opened so whichever side you choose to open you can. The savory taste of cold, freshness, and even sometimes a little spicy overwhelms my tastebuds. You may be wondering how can this make my mouth feel cold? Well it all has to do with your nerves and braincells and the messages that are being sent to one another. In Galleria of Smiles it goes into more depth about why we feel this sensation when it's being consumed. But to cut it short, when our body senses a protein called TRPM8 it is then activated in our nerve cells and it will send a signal to our brain resulting us to feel this cold. Now as to why it makes our mouth feels fresh and clean is also closely related to why it could feel cold. There is a chemical called Menthol which stimulates the production of the cold sensation you will feel on your tongue. More information about the chemical can be found in Toms of Main as well as other things that are related.

With the amount of flavors out there one surely must be up to your taste and what you best prefer. I like the sweet ones that still give off that fresh and clean feeling that will linger in my mouth. They're small in size so they can easily be put anywhere. Pop one into your mouth and enjoy the experience.
It's a small circular sweet that feels hard to the touch which makes the crunch even more satisfactory. When looking at the treat small flakes surround it and the color of it may vary making it so much cooler. The taste is of it is perfect it's sweet but still gives off that fresh feel without interfering with the taste. After it's been in consumed the size of it will slowly start to get smaller and smaller until it breaks off into tinier pieces and then be chewed on or completely swallowed if possible. If you'd prefer to go a different route you could also bite the entire thing and chew on it that way if you would not prefer to take things slow.
Who would've guessed that science would be a huge part of this tiny sweet? It may seem crazy but it sure does leave an impression. The size of it may not be all that but the experience you will receive in return will be. It could be seen as a small and random sweet to chew on but it could leave you with experiences and memories to look back onto.
